1. What is functional strength and why is it essential for all?
Functional strength training is a range of total body activities that build strength, balance, and coordination for general fitness to improve your ability to perform day to day activities. Things you do every day such as picking up or carrying your groceries or lifting objects off of the ground require overall strength to avoid injury. The healthier you are, the more resilient your body will be.
2. How do I schedule?
Scheduling is easy! Just email me at lauri@lmrfitness1.com, and we can set up your first consult call. We can discuss your goals and concerns by phone or video chat, depending on your preference. We will discuss your goals and aspirations, including nutrition optimization, general fitness, group exercise programs, competitive events (running races, triathlons, swimming, etc.), or overall wellness.
3. What happens if I sign up for an outdoor session, but the weather prevents us from being outside?
When scheduled for a lake swim, a home pool session, or a bike ride we will reschedule your session for a time based on your schedule.
When scheduled for an outdoor or group strength training session, I will offer a virtual zoom session in place of the outdoor session at the same time.
4. Where can I find the required liability & medical waiver?
Before your first session, you will need to complete a liability & medical waiver. I will email you the form to complete and send back to me.
5. What procedures or precautions are you taking for COVID-19?
The following precautions will be in place to ensure the safest experience for all clients and compliance with the CDC guidelines:
Limited group classes of 10 to ensure safe social distancing at all times.
Temperature checks for all participants upon arrival. Any client who has a fever or show any signs of illness will not be able to attend the session.
I will not be offering shared equipment or hands-on guidance.
Virtual sessions are always available for clients who are not ready to return or prefer the convenience of home sessions.
Masks are recommended.
